Well Brynn — I could only say, the trip we did together was eye opening and very heart warming. What made me feel that way was that you were there and my own parents were there at one time. I guess I felt a presence of something living and something that has past. To be in a place that I couldn’t imagine how people felt and lived.

You know I love to garden, move rocks, shovel dirt and grow vegetables. But to see what they did in the camp with the landscape was amazing. This place was dry and barren. From afar, it looks dry and barren. But to me it was an unbelievable site. The foundations, the manzanita plants, the broken glass and the amazing koi ponds. How did they do this?

What’s ironic Brynn — my parents wanted to forget this place — but I want to remember it.

Thanks for the memory. Always,

Your Dad
